Due to our location, there aren’t many local outdoor climbing opportunities. However, there are several walls we can access to offer training, including;
Bramhope Scout activity centre; Central Yorkshire Scouts have a climbing tower with instructors
Aldwark activity centre (also run by Central Yorkshire Scouts) have an indoor bouldering wall
North Yorkshire Scouts often run climbing sessions for individuals and groups at Brimham rocks
Two local commercial climbing facilities offer a range of courses for everyone from beginners to expert.
Harrogate climbing wall (several of our Explorers have done NICAS courses here)
Garforth clip & climb is aimed at starters & fun sessions
